Before the dawn I rode down to Fort Fisher NC to take photos of the sun coming up behind the salt sprayed trees. It is finally getting warm enough to enjoy some exercise. Just a couple more weeks and we will be enjoying the beach and the ocean. What a cool place we live!

Bear is enjoying a walk on the beach. He just now has enough courage to run into the water..he’s 7! Oh well we all learn at our own pace. I personally love swimming and love the beach. Hopefully we all make time to enjoy the beach this summer.

The State Port in Wilmington will play host the commissioning of the USS North Carolina on Saturday May 3rd. There will be a fantastic fireworks display around 9 pm on the 3rd celebrating the event. See you downtown for the festivities.
